Testimonial for Jackie Lawlor
Jackie is an inspirational communicator, that I have had the privilege to work with for the past 3 years. Jackie’s passion for Clean Language has given me insightful and helpful coaching techniques. Not only that, fascinatingly, Jackie’s Clean Language communication skills are closely aligned with 'enabling' principles of empathy and understanding, which are extremely helpful in situations of grief and bereavement and building rapport. Curious questioning, is powerful and coming from a supportive place, really helps build rapport and develop supportive relationships, particularly important when caring for potential donor families. I’ve seen Clean Language empower people to articulate their story and create their own narrative.
Jackie’s passion for educating about Clean Language enables clarity of communication, coming from a place of curiosity, which builds trusting and supportive relationships. The Specialist Nurse workforce have developed their Clean Language skills over the years and are using it both knowingly and unknowingly, it’s become a fabric of their rich tapestry of communication skills.

 Testimonial for Jackie Lawlor
I have had the privilege of working with Jackie for the past 3 years and during that time I have learnt so much about Clean Language, and, how it can help our conversations and communication both professionally and personally.  Jackie has been on hand when we embarked on this learning, to provide support and deliberate practice time above and beyond what was asked in order that we could deliver this additional communication tool to our nursing colleagues.  We now find it has become part of the supportive, empathetic communication that’s undertaken with families at hugely emotional times.  Three years on and we continue to explore with Jackie additional ways we can build on Clean Language to continue giving the best families and colleagues alike.

"I expected to feel drained after all that emotion but I feel energised and so focussed. Thank you so much Jackie, you are amazingly good at what you do"  E. 21.11.2017

And following up with the same person a few months later here is what she said
"Months after my experience of a Clean Space coaching session with Jackie, the spaces I visited and the learning I took from each is as vivid as it was at the time. I was astounded at the impact the session had on me, helping me to understand my desired direction of travel and what makes me happy. I have found that when I make decisions, I refer back to the session and test my choices against each of the spaces I visited.
The greatest impact it had was showing that making time to do things I enjoy enables me to handle everything the rest of life throws my way.
For years I have wanted to set up a little business, the knowledge that I needed it to make me happy as well as wanting it, gave me the boot I needed to stop procrastinating. Its early days but I am getting so much enjoyment out of it".  E 5/2/18

I have known Jackie for a long time and always have appreciated her openness and honesty. When  she mentioned something about removing blocks I was intrigued and wanted to know more. We got in contact and agreed for her to do a Clean Space session.
What Jackie didn’t know is that I suffer badly from anxiety. It manifests itself by making me feel terrified of going out. She also  didn’t know what a cynic I am. However I have known her for such a long time and admired what she does so I went into this with a totally open mind. No cynicism or trying to guess what was going to happen.
During the session, Jackie asked me a lot of questions, I really couldn’t see where it was going but went with the flow, at one point becoming  quite emotional which is extremely unusual for me.  About 5 minutes towards the end of the session I had a “light bulb” moment. So this is why she was asking me this! I was able to picture what my anxiety looked like and how to get rid of it. In my case it was a black shiny spikey ball that I could zap! So, since Saturday I have had no anxiety about going out of my front door.
The big test however was to see if I could do it when I had no-one in the house with me and yesterday was that test. I didn’t have the tussle in my mind and butterflies, I just unlocked the door and sauntered down the road. No rush to get back into my house either!
I am aware I haven’t gone into  too much detail about our session but there would be no point as it is different for everyone. The ridiculous and illogical fear – of which I was well aware was ridiculous and illogical has gone. I know it could come back but I also know I have a coping mechanism to deal with it.

So Jackie, thank you SO  SO much.

From a coaching client who completed coaching in July 2016

Jackie Lawlor is an excellent coach. She is highly perceptive, generous and very knowledgable. She achieves the perfect balance between challenge and support. Jackie helped me generate my own ideas and solutions so the coaching content remained very relevent to my work setting and individual professional needs - but she also provided me with information, tips and guidance when I needed it. I had six sessions with Jackie over several months to help me get the best from a difficult set of work circumstances that involved considerable change, and she helped me achieve some well thought through decisions and adjustments. As a result of working with Jackie, I developed some new skills and insights, recovered some old ones I'd forgotten, and in turn my confidence improved and I maintained a good level of resilience to the considerable stress I was under. Not only that but I got the new job I was looking for! What I value most about Jackie's approach is the highly effective combination of  her sincerity, positivity, intuition and experience.

From a  CPD/Supervision event June 2016

I just wanted to let you know some feedback from my week following our
session on Tuesday. I have spent two days facilitating a faculty of
clinical leaders and improvement experts as we get ready for a big piece
of work over the next few years. I need some time to sit and work through many of the strands from
Tuesday and how I want to build them into my practice. However they were immediately usable and practical.
I wanted to let you know as gathering impact stuff/feedback is often difficult. My headline is rarely have I got so much that is so readily applicable from a short session or indeed a long session.

Thank you Jackie. Jo Godman, NHS England

From my International Coaching Circle 2015/2016

I have been participating in an international coaching circle group
organized by Jacqui for over a year now and it has become an important
part of my personal and professional development.  Our scheduled online
"meetings" where we take it in turns to work a case helped me turn an
abstract idea or grand plan into a concrete and doable plan.
Contributing to expanding others' perspectives on their dilemmas also
has helped me sharpen my critical skills and supportive behaviors. It is
hard for me to believe I've never personally met any of the members of
this coaching group as they have become such close companions in our
mutual exploration of each others lives.  I have valued the honesty,
spontaneity and depth of the advice I receive from all members.  I have
truly appreciated Jacqui's insights and persistence in pursuit of each
of our truths and her leadership.  I congratulate Jacqui in developing
this circle as a unique tool for sharing knowledge as equal peers across
intercultural and international boundaries.

Tea and Inspiration

I enjoyed the afternoon. The exercises were very helpful in looking at my goals. Visualising my goal in the time given really helped. The networking was wonderful, lovely ladies which made it all the more enjoyable. Jackie has a wonderful way about, always puts you at ease. Informative and a great trainer. Really enjoyed it, thank you so much.

I found the networking opportunities and meeting inspirational people most useful.

Revisiting stuff I have not done for a while. Seeing new people and having time for myself, for a change, with others.

It was brilliant!

It has given me so many positives to look at and an excitement about things ahead, rather than concentrating on negatives.

Being able to picture the goal was most useful to me.

Focussing on a goal in a comfortable atmosphere, with meeting new friends.

Generated further ideas and connected well with other things I am doing, as well as new insights, new learning.

I found focussing in a positive way, on my goal the most useful

Visualising of a goal, understanding what aspects of the goal provide comfort and which discomfort, and how to be able to change that.

The importance of visualisation
in defining what your goal look like/feels like.

Meeting new people. Bringing a goal to the forefront of my mind.

I found time to think, the interaction and video's most useful.

Very focussed direction on setting goals. I'll be able to use this in our business, which is fab!
